Establishment of Chamni Technology

Early period : Establishment (1983-1992)

In 1983, Thailand was transforming to develop our country development from the agricultural sector to the new industrial era. At that time, the public vocational colleges were unable to deliver enough skilled workers to meet the demands of the labor market. Thai government, then, announced its policy to promote the growth of vocational schools. Samut Prakan Province, as one of the eariest industrial center of Thailand, Associate Professor Lieutenant Colonel Jintana Phuenglao, therefore, established Chamni Technology School to fill this gap on March 28, 1983. The school’s original mission was to encourage youth to continue their vocational studies so that they can become skilled workers and enter the labor market immediately after graduation. After opening for teaching, the school has continuously developed as follows:

In 1983, we started a vocational diploma in 5 departments: Factory Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, Electricians, Electronics Mechanics, and Mechanical Drafting.

In 1984, the school was moved from its original location to its current location. Mr. Wisit Wiwattrangkul saw the school's determination to organize vocational education and wanted to join in developing vocational education in Samut Prakan Province.  Therefore, the transfer was made as a special case.

In 1987, an academic cooperation agreement was signed with the German-Thai Foundation to be used as a center for donating machines and equipments, as well as providing scholarships and training for school teachers.

In 1992, the curriculum was expanded to the Vocational Certificate level in 1 major, Industrial Technology.

Voc. Cert. - Voc. Dip. / High Voc. Cert.

    2nd Period : Cooperation (1993-2002)

In 1995, the school founder transferred the school business back to Mr. Wisit Wiwattrangkul so that the school development plan could be carried out continuously. The school increased its support staff by 50%, started using an information system for management, and improved the school environment and built additional sports fields.

In 1997, the school was honored to visit by the Prime Minister of the State of Stuttgart, Germany
